Test Your Web Camera

Please test your web camera to ensure it is working appropriately.

  • There are a variety of ways to test your web camera using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other web meeting services.
  • There are also free resources that you can find on the internet, such as

Web Camera Troubleshooting Tips:

  • Ensure that a web camera is connected to your device and has been powered on.
  • Confirm that your device has detected your webcam.
  • Ensure that your web camera is enabled in your device settings.
  • Ensure that this page has not been blocked from accessing your web camera in your browser settings.
  • If your device has multiple web cameras connected, try selecting a different one from the list on the system-check page.
  • If problems still persist, consult with your organization’s IT administrator and/or hardware manufacturer.
  • Mac users may need to allow Kryterion within their System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy settings for Microphone, Camera, Automation and Input Monitoring.

  • Ensure that a microphone is connected to your device and has been powered on.
  • If the microphone has its own volume controls, ensure that they are not muted.
  • Confirm that your device has detected your microphone.
  • Ensure that your microphone is enabled in your device settings.
