To the KRYTERION Staff:
The National Air Duct Cleaners Association computer-based certification exam solution has been up and running with KRYTERION since July 1, 2005. Following is some feedback on our experience with KRYTERION and the Webassessor solution thus far.
NADCA transitioned from another computer-based testing provider. Our motivations for seeking a change were:
- Better service (for our staff and our Test Takers);
- Better reliability;
- Flexibility;
- Better value as we transitioned to a new exam, as
well as expansion of our certification offerings,
including international versions of the programs.
I am pleased to report that our results have been excellent on all counts. Working with a new partner on a project as important and visible as certification can be stressful on many levels, but our experience has been exceptional.
Your staff has been highly responsive in working with our staff to implement and administer our programs. Working with your staff has been like a ray of sunshine, particularly in comparison to our previous experiences.
The Webassessor system has provided the reliability and flexibility we were hoping for with a new system. With the power of this system, we're now looking to do even more than originally planned (our new online quizzes will be headed your way soon). None of this would have been possible if not for the fact that the Webassessor program was developed in a way that allows KRYTERION to operate it efficiently and keep our costs down.

Dear KRYTERION Team:
As the regulatory body for Respiratory Therapy in the Province of Ontario, the CRTO was mandated to develop a Quality Assurance Program for its members. The Committee charged with this task wanted to develop an innovative tool that would be supported by members while helping the CRTO meet their goal of public protection. Not knowing for certain that their idea of an on-line, standards-based test that members could complete over a 30-day period was feasible, the Committee was thrilled when KRYTERION proposed how Webassessor could achieve this and more.
Given our unique approach, we relied heavily on KRYTERION's team to suggest solutions. Unlike a typical test application used for certifications, the CRTO's Professional Standards Assessment required customization so that members could login and out as many times as they wished within their 30-day window.
KRYTERION also provided CRTO members with the ability to review each question after they submitted the test, indicating whether their response was correct or incorrect, followed by the rationale and reference. We were pleased with KRYTERION's quick response, various approaches to our needs, and cost effectiveness.
Now in its second year, the Professional Standards Assessment is becoming the corner-stone of the CRTO's Quality Assurance Program. Members endorse the flexibility and ease of use of KRYTERION's technology, and from an administrative standpoint we have found Webassessor to be an outstanding tool.

Dear KRYTERION Staff:
Four years ago, we attempted to put our exam into an online format, using a different company. The experience was expensive and disastrous! Our question banks were too big for this company's platform to handle, and in most cases, questions with graphics would take 10 minutes or more to load on screen. Additionally, we had numerous problems with every testing center in their network.
After six months of trying to fix it, and several hundred complaints from our members, we had to go back to the traditional paper/pencil format. (Hand grading!) Each testing period entailed months of preparation and scheduling, and several weeks of post-exam follow-up.
Our experience with your company has been phenomenal! Before anyone said the word "contract" your Sales Representative spent weeks talking with us about our needs. He took the time to make sure that your product was a good fit for us.
I was also impressed that he communicated everything to the Implementation Team. From the start, everyone involved knew what the end-product should look like, and they knew exactly how they were going to get there.
Our first online exam period started last week. I have received only 5 calls from members encountering problems with the registration process. Thankfully, most of these problems were due to members not reading the registration instructions.
