HOST Location Features & Benefits

KRYTERION's proprietary Webassessor software was developed to easily and effectively manage certification programs. Webassessor, along with a KRYTERION Certified Proctor (KCP) provide a secure test-taking environment that is specifically suited to High-stakes testing. Proctors access the HOST Location module of Webassessor from a secure test delivery site which allows for the following processes:

  • Proctors view upcoming tests through an intuitive, user-friendly interface.
  • There is nothing to download or install on the computer you use for test delivery.
  • Proctors can access real-time scheduling information of all of their upcoming and in-progress Test Taker assessments.
  • Tests are delivered in real time over the Internet, in the HOST Location's secure testing environment.
  • Email notifications are sent to the KCP informing them that a Test Taker has selected their HOST Location for administration of the test session.
  • Test Takers register and schedule online. Proctors receive immediate email notification of all scheduled events and can view this information in Webassessor.
  • Proctors have administrative access to their HOST Location and KCP profile pages.
HOST Location Requirements

It's easy to become a HOST Location. More than likely you already have the necessary requirements in place.

Hardware and Software

  • Processor - Pentium or compatible, 300MHz or higher
  • RAM - 128MB or greater
  • Operating System - Windows 98/NT/XP/2000
  • Hard Drive - Minimum 500MB available space
  • Video - Color VGA video display set to 800x600 resolution.
    A minimum of 256 colors and 15-inch monitor is necessary.
  • Pointing Device - Microsoft compatible mouse
  • Internet Access - Internet access via dedicated ISDN, DSL, T1 or cable connection
  • Installed Applications - Internet Explorer 6.0 or better (with all current Microsoft security patches applied)
  • Firewall - ports 80 and 443 open

No software needs to be loaded on your server.

  • Facsimile machine
  • Networked or dedicated printer

Building and Testing Area

Your facility must conform to local building, sanitation, and health codes. The testing area must be a separate room containing either a window for full and easy viewing of the Test Taker, have a video surveillance camera or a closed circuit camera and monitor. The testing room may be used for other purposes when tests are not being administered.
